Day 18 ~ August 18, 2024. Halifax Nova Scotia

Peggy's Cove is a particular rock with a light house perched on a pile of eroded granite cliffs. Today only seven families still live there, and oodles of tourists roam around their little homes purchasing their art work and consuming their fish chowder. Our guide said their tiny weatherbeaten homes would sell for over a million dollars. The rock is so hard they cannot dig wells and they collect rain water to drink. They have to pay someone to haul the sewage away. But as long as the fishing is good and the tourists keep coming, the cove is a good gig.

Did you know ? Lunenburg is a Canadian๐Ÿ‡จ๐Ÿ‡ฆ town in Nova Scotia. It is a port town with a rich heritage and unique architecture. The town was founded in 1630 by the British and has been a part of the province ever since.  Lunenburg is famous for its colonial architecture, which is characterized by its red brick buildings and Palladian windows. Old Town Lunenburg became a National Historic Site in 1992 and a World Heritage Site in 1995. Also the Blue Nose ll is there.
