Day 108 April 20, 2016. Docked at Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia on the Far East Traveler

Well we were on tour today and it was a fantastic tour.  For $100.00 each we were pickup up at the dock from a tour company called "Amazing Borneo".   We had 13 people with a Huge bus with lazy boy chairs as seat.  Very up to date.  Ryan was our guide with Walter and Fendi as the driver.
We first went to the building that was designed about 20years ago and back then there was only 4 like that in the world.  It was round and was made of glass and it was suspended from the center core.
Next we went to the Sabah state Mosque with gold inlaid onion dome, which is the largest dome of its type in Malaysia.
From there we got to go the Chinese Buddhist Temple. Where a huge statue of "Kuan Kin", the goodness of mercy who welcomes and blesses all who visit the temple.

Onto the Sabah Museum to learn more about the culture and history.
From there we to the old Filipino Market to see handicrafts or souvenirs.

After that we went for lunch and it was a 9 coarse lunch.  From sweet corn soup to calamari to tempura prawns with greens and beef with veggies.  Fruit for dessert.  Great lunch
After lunch we did the Mari Mari Cultural Village, located 25 minutes away from the city.  So we went back into time of ancient Borneo through the magical display of unique ingenious architecture, simulated lives and ritualistic ceremonies.  We saw how different tribes lived and experience their culture. We tasted Rice wine and saw how they make it.  And we also witness bamboo cooking.  Last but not least the culture show at the end performed by the tribes.

Great day it was indeed.  Back to the ship at 4:30 quick shower had a rum and coke, Bob had a Black Russian than 645 pm dinner.  Had the grouper for dinner with a side of fries.  Everything was great.  Show tonight is the Byron Johnston again.  With an all new show.  Then to bed by 11:00.  Tomorrow we are in Muara, Darussalam  which is in Brunei.  So nighty night....thanks for joining us.
