2023 February 25 ~ March on the NCL Getaway

 So, this is our itinerary for this sailing.  

Looks like a very busy Itinerary visiting a lot of ports.   Two sea days down then port after port.  Been to all these ports so some of them we will just walk around or maybe just stay on the ship.  We have lots of options.  This cruise will be very different for us.  Why ?  Because everything is included. From gratuities to internet to shore excursions to open bar.  Never had that before so should be fun.  Doing my research for the ship so we know where everything is.  Bob is really looking forward to getting back on a ship.

 

 

 

2023 February 25-10 March ~ Caribbean Cruise on the NCL Getaway

Ok what do you do when the weather at home is cold?  You head for for warmer weather.  That’s just what we decided to do.  We booked a 2-week cruise on a big ship for us.  We have never traveled on this ship or this line before.  They are just too big.  We thought we would try it.  So here is the ship.  Norwegian Getaway.  

We leave from Gananoque board a bus then travel to New York City and Stay right in Times Square at the Marrott Marguis for 1 night.  Dinner is at the Hotel and after that we can maybe catch a Broadway show or take a walk in Times Square.  Maybe have a skate in Rockefeller Plaza or go see Radio City Rocketts.  Next morning is breakfast at the hotel before we board the bus to be transferred to the New York City pier to our ship.  ALL ABOARD 

2023 May ~ 3 weeks on Holland American ms Zaandam. So good to be Traveling again on Holland America

 Well we did it.  Yes we have decided to start to travel again.  But we are sticking close to home and traveling mostly within Canada.  Here’s our itinerary.  Starting in Montreal ending in Boston.  Leaving in May 2023.  It’s on Holland America on the Zaandam.  It’s called 7-Day Canada & New England Discovery.  

Then we had to find a way to get back to Montreal so we are going on another Holland America 7-Day  Historic Coasts cruise on the same ship.  This is her itinerary.  Since we had to wait a week to get back to Montreal we thought this would be a nice way.

After that we are heading back home on another 7-DayHolland America ship the same ship Zaandam .  Here is her itinerary.  This one is called  7-Day Canada & New England Discovery.

Deposit’s have been received  so we are so looking forward to this adventure.   It’s been since September of 2019 since we have been traveling so this feel so right.  Of coarse we want to stay close to Canada because of the Pandemic. They are still requiring you to have your vaccines all up to date. Which ours are.

2022 ~ Covid -19 and Traveling again.

Although we haven’t cruised since the pandemic began, Holland America has implemented a variety of procedures that would make us feel safe to cruise again. First, all guests must be fully vaccinated and provide a negative COVID-19 test taken within 48 hours of sailing. If a test is required to return home, Holland America provides one at no charge. Public areas and staterooms are cleaned and sanitized frequently with a medical-grade disinfectant proven to kill coronaviruses. Staff is always masked, and guests must wear masks in certain indoor areas on the ship. Frequent handwashing and use of hand sanitizer are encouraged and stations are available around the ship.

The air handling systems onboard all ships now have enhanced air filtration which combines an upgraded system with increased circulation of fresh air. The onboard award-winning medical centers are fully staffed with doctors and nurses trained to manage COVID-19. They are also equipped with testing and treatment capabilities if needed. The company constantly reviews all local health and safety guidelines for all the ports the ship may visit. Depending on the country, you may be required to take a shore excursion provided by Holland America to go ashore.  Stay tuned…
