Day 151. June 01, 2016. Anchored in Nuku Hiva (Marquesas) French Polynesia on the Polynesia Treasures

Our amazing greeting.  Wow
This island is also French Polynesia.  It is in the Marquesas, another set of islands, but still in the French Polynesia.  This is good, because we still have a bit of CFP Francs left.  Our sail in was into a harbour which the island encircling it.  This is another sunken volcano with the rim as the land.  The land is steep cliffs with turfs of individual trees silhouetted at the ridges. Black sand beaches here.  This was one of the many highlights as Herman Melville's tale "Typee".  He wrote while living on this island.  We have been here 2 times and just love this beautiful island.

Selfie with Chuck "Noodles".  Up on the top of the hill.  We had a great day now we have 4 sea days to get to the Hawaiian Islands.  Hilo is our first island on June 5

Black sand beaches.  Just beautiful.
Thanks for coming along with us.  29 more days left to go.  I am  going to be a basket case for sure when this cruise ends.  We have met so many wonderful people and everyone has been like a big family at least the 180 worldly's people.
