Wind this baby up and let's see how fast this ship can soar. We traveled at a speed of 23 knots which is around 26 mph. With leaving Oman we have been in the dark at night with all blinds closed and lights from around the ship off. Somewhat of darkness so they the Pirates don't see us, yet the light on the mask is on bright. There is security guards keeping a good watch on the sea. There was one incident that a smaller boat was heading towards our ship came pretty close to us and people got excited than lady minute it turned. That was the talk around the ship that morning. Did you see that pirate boat?
We have had a lot of fun around the ship. They had a Arabic sail away with all the bar staff, servers and a lot of crew in the full dress of white long gown and the headdress of red and white scarf tied or rolled. See pictures below
Open bar, hot appetizers, what else could you want.
On Monday we came pretty darn close to the Yemen boarder. Closer than I thought we would be. There were reports of a Saudi Destroyer a hugh one visible to see, yet Bob and I were in a lecture, of what to see and do in Israel so we never saw it. We had a 2 day tour planned thru Cruise Critic but it fell thru. The tour guide just kept changing the itinerary on this lady that she had enough of it that she canceled the whole thing. So 5 couples were out of luck. We have never been to Israel and we want to see as much as we can in the 2 days and because it's Easter crowds are going to be very heavy. We want to see Jerusalem and the old city and all the biblical and holy places that we decided to bite the bullet and book 2 10 hour full day tours. So we will see the a lot. I will write about it after we have done it.
