Traveling on our way to Messina the sea's are so calm. It's like bath water. You see in odd tanker traveling going to some destination, but other than that nothing else to see in the water. We went to the morning show and they had a very funny comedian named Mel Mellers from last night show. Then a announcement came on that we were entering the straits of Messina, so we headed up to the crows nest. Barbara our location guide is to be providing scenic commentary up there. Also the winds have come up and it is quiet windy now. She talked for about 10 minutes as our arrival was early.
We were off the ship by 1150 and went right to the famous clock tower to watch this funny production of a lion roaring 3 times. Then the the Golden Rooster yelped 3 times then the music to Ava Marie came on. Something's were not working and some were broken. It was also in repair with scaffolding near the top before the tourist come. We are still pretty early in the season. So Bob and I walked about 6 miles to the right then came back to the center of town and walked to McDonalds but the wifi needed a Mobil phone to send you a pin. That's why we are posting this a day later. Pictures will follow post and they were on statues around Messina.
