Day 33 ~ Friday August 02, 2019 Ivergordon Scotland on the 34 Day Baltic Spitsbergen & Icelandic Fjords Explorer

The gateway to Loch Ness, Whiskey distilleries, and the area castles.
Not for us this trip, we are going to explore this town of 4000.  The port of Invergordon is mainly used to repair oil rigs.  So really is wasn't a pretty port at all.  We took a short walk into town and saw some impressive murals, overflowing flowerboxes, small shops, cafes, banks and friendly people to have a wee chat with you.  High Street is the main street we walked on.

As we were leaving we being pipped off by a 18 member high school drum and bagpipe corps in full Scottish regalia.  What a great day we had.  We now have a sea day than its back to Amsterdam for our 2nd cruise on this journey.  We will return to Invergordon with a tour of the highlands.

Thanks for joining us  Bob & Leslee
