Fish & Chips
Off the ship later today but we just took our time. The village of Portree, situated on the east side of Skye overlooking a sheltered bay, is the capital of the island. It is surrounded by hills. Portree is only about 200 years old and was created as a fishing village at the beginning of the 19th century by the then Lord MacDonald. Again today we just wondered around took it easy. Portree Harbour is very quaint and picturesque but it is also a working harbour with fishing boats, cruse ships coming and going, life boat etc, it also has great accommodation in both B&B and hotel and as you would expect great seafood and a fish and chip shop.
Just what we did. Had lunch
Great relaxing day we had thanks for coming along.
