Good day mate.....welcome to Cooktown a small town with lots of history. Captain Cook beached his ship the Endeavor for repairs in 1770.
NEWS FLASH NEW FLASH.........
The Captain came on the P.A. System at 11:00am instead of noon today. We knew something was wrong but what? He said that our next port of call (which is Cooktown in 1 hour) we will not be able to stop due to weather and the roll of the Sea for safety reasons because it's a 35 minute tender. So for our safety and the crew that needs to tender we will be proceeding to Cairns right away. It's only a few hours away.
Really not much to do in Cooktown so we were happy with the decision he made. We arrive in Cairns at 5:30 pm and now we had a overnight. Bonus for us even though we have been there many times. Still lots to see there.
So we had some lunch fish and chips. Went and put our swim suits on and got 2 hours of sun. The sun was very strong today. At 3:00 we had BINGO and full coverage is over 2,000.00. Our team was there with positive thoughts. Nope didn't win.
The scenery going south now is just beautiful. As you can see your selves. So today when we dock in Cairns we have about a few hours to walk around.
