Day 37 & 38 February 09-10, 2016 Docked at Cape Town, South Africa on the Indian Ocean Passage ~ PART 1

Do you remember the movie "The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel"?  Well this is how I felt when we were driving to this unknown area to have this amazing Safari.  There were 16 of us on a private tour that we had booked 2 years ago.  So the antisapation was building these last 30 days.  So 16 on a tour all ages, 2 ladies with wheelchairs (one couldn't even walk), one lady had a very bad back and could hardly move.  What the hell are they doing on a safari?????  We also had 2 old  complainers, Me with a pinched nerve, and 10 other people that thought they were perfect.
So our destination was 2.5 house north east of Cape Town.  Interesting drive through all the wine regions.

When we finally arrived everyone looked around and they changed there mind and now it became a adventure.  Bob and I looked at each other and smiled because we knew these next 2 days were gonna be awesome.
The red dot is where Inverdoon.  This is the largest Big 5 Safari closest to Cape Town.  This will have to be in parts cause there is so much I need to post.  We left Cape Town at 9:00 am and drove to Inverdoorn.

Arrived at lunch time, which they had set up a very large table under this big old tree.

The setting here is just so very natural.  It was very warm today high in the 90's so after lunch Bob and I went for a swim.
Yes that's me being a ham and talking to a man from Switzerland.  He wanted to stay overnight here but it was completely booked.

Ok after our swim at 4:30 we had cold drinks and snacks then at 5:30 it was time to start our first game drive. We had this cute girl as our guide and she was very knowledgeable about all the animals that we would see.

So I am just going to post some pictures.  Hope you enjoy them as much as we had fun seeing them.

To be continued.....
