April 03, 2017. Naples , Italy on the Grand Mediterranean Cruise

We met our group of 6 others at 9:00 am and got off the ship and got into a van for our tour.  We skirting the bay of Naples and in the shadow of the awesome Mt. Vesuvius we drove to our first stop to Sorento which was an hour away and we had an hour to look around.  The lemons are ready for harvesting, and the wisteria are all in bloom.  Just a beautiful site.  After an hour of looking a around we got back into the van and stopped at our next place which was Positano for lunch by the time it was noon.  Bob and I shared a margarita pizza so so good.  Nice thin crust.  The roads to Almalfia coast are very narrow, step, and lots of hairpin turns.  For a minute I thought I was going to be sick and I needed air.  The rain had started and we drove to the sea from way up high.  We kinda ran from shop to shop here.  But it didn't last long maybe 30 minutes. Cute towns old winding staircases.  Terrace farming of lemon and orange tree's.  Then after a few stops for photo op's we arrived in Amalfi Village.  Again rainy weather but just a beautiful site.  After that we had 1 more stop to Ravello.  Another amazing place.  We only had 15 minutes here then it was back in the van and heading back to the ship for all aboard at 6:30.  We both really enjoyed the scenic villages and the Pizza, cannoli ( yes we had to have another one) and a shared gelato.  We also picked up 2 bottles of Limoncello. What a great day

 Picture of us in Sorrento.
This is all over.  The wisteria is in full bloom now.
