Day 44 February 16, 2016. Docked at Maputo, Mozambique on the Indian Ocean Passage

Wow 44 days into our cruise.  Time is going so fast.  Little history of this place.  Mozambique beckons with its coastline and the swaying palms, it's traditions, it's cultures, it's vibe and most of all its opportunities for adventure.  This enigmatic southeast African country is well off most travelers map, but it has so much to offer those who venture here.  Long dune fringed beaches that's what we saw when we came in, turquoise waters abounding in shoals of colorful fish, well preserved corals, remote archipelagos in the north, pounding surf in the south and graceful D howls  with billowing sails.  Add to the the Portuguese era
of the buildings with the wrought iron balconies.  Maputo is easily one of Africa's most attractive capitols.  We took the shuttle to the culture center where they had every arts & crafts that they make by hand here. Bought a lot here.  Just such amazing stuff.
Bags and bags galore hang from every tree
We bought 2 very nice bowls made from sandlewood from this man
I see I need 2 parts to this day because when I use my IPad it only allows me to post 5 pictures only.
So to be continued ....
