As we sailed away from Red Bay the Captain came on the intercom to make a announcement to inform us that due to ice formation and weather conditions en route to Cartwright Labrador, he said he was unable to safely maneuver close enough to the port to allow the tender operation to run. Therefore he has canceled the port of call. Because of the safety of the ship, the guests and of coarse the crew. So as a gesture of goodwill last night we had a glass (and only 1) of champagne with our dessert.
We also go to Good Morning Veendam on sea days and this morning is the Captain. I am sure that he will be talking about this change of plans. So today, Thursday we have a sea day as well as tomorrw. So remember the saying something like " The destination is not the journey, It's the journey that's the destination. Well it's being proven now.
