Located along the Mediterranean Sea nestled below Mount Carmel, is Israel's third largest city Haifa. The settlement of the area dates back more than 3,000 years an still maintains much of its deep rooted history. The city today is a unique blend of older and newer neighborhoods. The beautiful beaches attracts the tourist who visit frequently on summer weekends. Haifa is also home of the World Center of the Baha I faith. It is built on slope of Mount Carmel very impressive building is most famous for the gardens and which contains landscaped "hanging gardens" which run along the Louis Promenade. At the foot of the Baha Gardens lies the German Colony founded in the 19th century by Germans. Now there are lots of restaurant and Bars and Coffee shops line the streets.
Today is Easter Sunday and how cool is this to be in Israel at this time. We started with a Sunrise Service on Board the Ship. We decided to buy a tour for Israel today and tomorrow.
