Well what can we say. Last night just before we were to get off the train they notified us that this train “The Canadian #1” Edmonton will be the end of the road for everyone and the Rocky Mountaineer has been cancelled. Edmonton was always our get off point but we met a lot of young family’s and travellers from European countries that were continuing on to Vancouver. Because of the fires in B.C tracks have been burned and for safety reasons they don’t want any other people in there. Felt so bad for them. We are lucky because we have 9 days before we would get on the Rocky Mountaineer. So our plans so far are staying as planned. By the time we got off the train and checked into our room it was after 1:00 am. So so tired both of us. Went straight to bed and was up at 0630. After a wonderful buffet breakfast we went for a small walk before boarding our bus for our trip.
