Day 118. April 30, 2016. Docked at Darwin, Australia on the Far East Traveler

All types of tourist busses.  We choose to walk for the exercise.  We've lost a few pounds this way.
Located midway along Australia's northern coast, Darwin is a very laid back city, known for its melting pot culture.  Named after the famous evolutionist Charles Darwin, the city is the Capital of the Northern Territory and a gateway to several Southeast Asian countries.  Today we walk and walked out of the city to the Botanical Gardens and the Local 18 hole golf coarse. But I should say first of all Bob got his haircut.  Looks great and he says it feels fantastic. Then we walked along the beach for awhile to gather some sand from Australia or Tiffany.  Yes you are so welcome.  Mind you it's not a lot we are picking up because of the weigh factor.  But enough that you can see all the different colors from around the world.  It was extremely hot and very very humid.  94 degrees with 89% humidity.  We were out of water so we popped in a jiffy mart and bought a liter of flavored water with lemon, lime and orange.  Very thirst quenching.  We drank it down in no time flat.  Then walked past the casino and on our way back to the city.  Pictures tell our story.  At 4:30 we boarded the ship after a 8.9 miles walk.  We showered and had a cold drink.  Rum and coke for me and vodka and Coke for Bob.  Getting low on the Rum we picked up in the Caribbean several months ago.  Still
have 5 liters of wine and a bottle of Kuala and Vodka and Grand M.  So we are still good.  When we went to dinner our waiter whom was suppose to leave in Bali gave us a present.  Redwin had ordered a mug for us that had our names on it in front of a Balinese
Girl and Boy on it.  He will be getting off now I think in Sydney.  We have had him since Adavideo left. He is so sweet.
Internet is playing games with us in this area that's why everything is so late.  And yes we have had many more time changes.  Another Boat drill cannot remember how many this is?

Australian Boab tree only in the northern part it grows...
Sea Day 2 days in a row.   Thanks for coming along with us.....Leslee & Bob
