Day 109. April 21, 2016. PART 2. Docked at Muara, Darussalam

This is where the Sultan lives in the Palace

Water village more than 30,000 people live in thousands of structures built on stilts in the Brunei River.  Known as Kampong Ayer, the village is a amazing assortment of homes, schools,  restaurants, mosques, shops, and hospitals, all connected by wooden Boardwalks.  Some homes are quite electorate, and the people have lived in the water village for more than 1300 years.  Making it one of the most historic areas in Brunei.  The village can only be reached by boat and water taxis.  Pretty cool

We had a great day even if most of us didn't see any monkeys.  But look what we did see
Five of them cute little river otters.  Ok they made up for not seeing the monkey's.
It was so hot today it was really hard to breathe.  We went back to the ship around 1:30 dropped off bags, heard there was a beach close by and we thought Betcha Tiffany would like some sand from the richest country.  So we walked an hour each way, 2miles each way and got some exercise.  Picked up some shells and sand and took a few pictures.  So that was our fun day today.
Thanks for traveling with us.  It really is an amazing journey we are on.  This day will be late to post as the Internet is being feniky.
