Day 6 Jan 09, 2016 ~ Kralendijk, Bonair. Sun Kissed Sanctuaries

Bob and I have been to this island many times so today we decided to book a 3 hour Island Tour.  We saw the North and South Island.  We started on the South island and took in the impressive pink waters and massive piles of Bonaire's pristine salt- they say that its some of the purest in the world. It has been a major industry for more than 350 years.  They call the salt mountains the Bonairean Alps.   We stopped at some Slave huts for a picture. Back in 1800 these were small shelters a very painful time in history of Bonaire.  The Capital of Bonaire is Kralendijk.  The main street has great shops and is lined with delightfully painted pastel stucco houses, in pinks, oranges, and lime green.
