Wow where do I start. Yesterday was a busy busy day, and today we are jumping right into activities. Went to bed at 11:30 and slept so good. The beds are very comfortable. Got up at 7 and still had to put a lot of stuff away. But where do I put it. Think I over packed again. Yes honey you were right. It not just all the clothes but all the stuff, meds, iPads, camera stuff that s a whole shelve in itself, computer, 1.75 bottle of wine,1 bottle of kuala, and not to forget 14 liters of wine anyway you get the idea. So I think I did pretty dam good hiding everything out of sight. After a present breakfast yep started out with Raisin Bran and some fresh pineapple. Bob had granola with blackberries and raspberries on top.
9:00 was our putting contest up in the horizons. Which is like the crows nest. I must tell you I made the post putting and received 3 Big O dollars which when you get to 100 you can cash them in for a sweatshirt. Bob got 2 so today we total 5. It's just a way to get you to participate in things. They do this every morning at 9. Other things are shuffle board, table tennis. So out of only 20 people I was the winner....
Next 9:30 I went to my first class of needle point. A friend from Holland American Marilyn alway made things in her spare moment. Don't know how she did it because I can barley see these little tiny holes. Anyway something on the down time. The project is a coin purse and it has a pink water lily on it. (Probably take me 4 months just to do this one). At. 10:00 we went to the cruise critic meet and greet. Met some of the people that are organizing tours that we are taking 48 planned tours thru cruise critic, including 1 safaris in Cape town and 1 day safari in Mombassa, Kenya.
At 11 we got to go to a special mimosa cocktail reception to meet Captain Flokos and his Senior Officers. Had 2 of the mimosas.
Before dinner we have a welcome "Captain Cocktail Celebration. They have this at all the bars on the ship. At 6 pm Captain Flokos introduces his Senior Officers to everyone on board. Free drinks.....gotta love it
Tonight we will go to the dinning room and have a sit down dinner. The entertainment tonight is "AbbaFab". We have seen the and they are very good. Looking forward to seeing them again. We are going to get there early and test how many people actually come and see the shows. Clocks go ahead 1 hour tonight when we poop out.
