Sydney, Australia
I guess I should say “G’day, Mates,” but I’m not that much of an Aussie. I do enjoy a good round of “Aussie, Aussie, Aussie - Oy, Oy, Oy” as much as the next person, though. Of course, Sydney is one of our favorite ports, so it was good to arrive here yet again, even if we did have to get up before 4:30to really enjoy the sail - in. Sailing into Sydney is one of life’s great pleasures, because one comes into the bay and then past the iconic Sydney Opera House and then under Harbor Bridge. It really is worth getting up early to see. Well up at 4:50 and up to the Crows Nest to darkness. As we sail in early in the wee hours of morning Barbara came on during our approach to Sydney to give us a narration of the sail in. We also were talking to Dinawa the Aboriginal on location host and he sang a welcome song to Bob and I in his language. Pretty cool. So today we are walking everywhere around the city. Tomorrow we will buy a buss ticket and go to Bondi Beach. Vivienne if your reading this I remember when you posted your picture of you and Rick at a cafe at Bondi Beach. I am on a mission tomorrow to find that place.......or one like it.
