Day 5 ~ Basseterre ~ St Kitts

This is a Miami Vice and it is so so good.  It’s strawberry daiquiri and Pina Colada frozen with a shot of Blue Curaçao.  Blended nice frozen drink. 12 pm arrival today but we have no rush to go look around.  There are some great beaches on this island that we might just have to go back to.  But we haven’t decided yet  if we want to just go walk around at the port or grab a cab and go to Frigate Bay.  We have had breakfast and our now on are own our balcony watching us come into Basseterre.  Some history for you.  Basseterre is the oldest town in the Eastern Caribbean.  It is also called “The Gibraltar of the Caribbean.  The countryside is very lush and pretty with almost a constant view over the sea.  There is a train that takes you around the island and gives you history about the sugarcane industry which used to be the major and largest contributor to the economy but now it’s Tourism go figure.  So we decided to go out and look for a place for lunch.  Found this nice little restaurant in town and we both had the fish tacos.  Boy were they good.  A few pictures of our journey today.  Ship leaves at 7

Nighty night
