Day 60 March 3, 2016 ~ Mangalore, India. On the India Ocean Passage

Today we were on a tour with Cruise Critic people   We arrived at the dock at 8:00 am and met our group by 845.  we were then picked up at 9am.  We have been here before when we left this port to travel to the Taj Mahl.  So we really didn't see much of Mangalore.  We did see a lot of the major sites today including Kadri Manjunatha Temple that was built in the 10th century.  Gokarnathewara Temple that was founded by the great social reformer Sri Narayana Guru who promoted the idea that all people are equal before God.  We visited a local market a Chapel a Cashew processing plants.  Yes we did buy some.  So so good. and we returned to the dock by 4pm.  All this for 60.00usd.  Oh yes we had lunch at a specialty restaurant to taste the famous Mangalore crusine.  What a fun day.  Pictures are in 2 parts.
