So today we left FV around 11:00 got to our parking spot walk across Channelside and came on board. We have priority check in between 12-12:30. Just in time for lunch. We can not get into our room until 1:30 so we headed to the poolside restaurant called 'Blue Iguana" it had the best fish tacos. Perfect. We then headed to our room for the next 5 days and dropped off our 1 carry on bag each, ( no suitcases for us not for 5 days). We then walked around the ship to get a little familiar with her. I did download the Carnival Hup app which works great before we left so that will help us get around the ship for sure.
We left out of Tampa right on time. Boy this ship is big. Not used to such a big one. There has been lately a lot of fog in the Tampa Bay. Sure hope when we return on the 10th of Jan it will be all finished with the Fog. We had the muster drill at 3:30. Then headed to our favorite spot on any ship the Crows nest. We love watching the sail aways and sail In's from here. After that as the sun was setting we were walking on the upper deck getting some exercise. I reallu don't know how the internet will be especially in Cuba. Have heard its a little spotty. So I will put this away for now and gather some thoughts about Cuba our 1st port of call.
