Docked early and once off the ship you can see we are right at a beach. The water is perfect here you can see by the different colors the depth of the water. We have are beach gear with us and going for a walk in town then we will head for a swim. Right off the pier lies the Grand Turk Cruise Center with lots of shops, beaches, a little museum and the famous drinking hotspot Margaritaville, if you choose to booze away your day in the sun with Spring Break atmosphere.
Pillory Beach
Lighthouse
We wasted no time in getting in that clear, azure blue water. It is so beautiful that it rivaled Matira Beach on Bora Bora...except with waves. As far out as we swam, we could see the bottom as if we were looking through glass. The water wasn't warm, about 78-79F, but we quickly got used to it and spent a long time in the water.
Underwater shot see how clear this is....no fish and no corals
Starting to cloud up, so we pack up and head for the ship for our 3pm sail away.
Governours Beach is where the shipwreck is past the freight pier left from Hurrican Sandy.
The view of Grand Turk from the Lido Deck. You can clearly see where the wall is where the ocean floor drops to more than a mile deep. That's is why we can get in so close.
Stay tuned................
