Traveling again this time a 75 day Grand Pacific and Far East Voyage on Holland America

Well today we sent away for Bob's 10 year passport.  We could not do this before July 02.  Our home town they courier it to Ottawa for yoou.  Only one problem it will take 21 working days.  Then we need to get our Chinese visa which takes 10-14 working days.  Oh how I hate to do this kind of stuff for traveling.  But this is the reason we are going to do it.

One itinerary: Epic and ambitious. One glorious ship, the ms Amsterdam. Over two months through the Pacific. What will we see? Everything. Let us discover the islands on which the grand drama of WWII played out: names like Pearl Harbor, Guam, Saipan, Okinawa and Guadalcanal.
Pristine island paradise is also in the plans. From remote and wild places like Micronesia’s Chuck Island and Yap Island to legendary beauties in Hawaii, Fiji and French Polynesia (five ports!), expect lush green mountains encircled by turquoise lagoons. Have you seen the solid gold domes that top the mosque in the Sultanate of Brunei? Wandered thru acres of exotic orchids on Fiji? Witnessed sunrise over a Polynesian peak? Well Bob & I are going to see this all and more.
And for thrilling world cities, we will have overnights in Kobe, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Singapore, and Papeete to soak in the essence of each place.

So we are now updating our passport, getting our visas in place.  This all will happen by Sept 15, 2013.  We are going out to Vancouver early to see a lot of our friends that we have not seen for way too long. It will be good to see everyone.

Stay tuned….
