August 31 2023 ~ Headed to Vancouver Airport then home

After our last breakfast πŸ₯“πŸ₯“πŸ₯šπŸ₯šπŸ³at the Sheraton Wall Center we checked out and headed out for the airport for our flight home.  ✈️✈️✈️πŸ’ΊπŸ›«πŸ›« Goodbye Vancouver. It’s been a blast.  We were so lucky to have taken the Rocky Mountaineer from Jasper to Vancouver a lot of fires this summer and we were a no go for awhile.  We were so lucky to be the 2 RM up and running.

Beautiful B.C. place.  Nice sunny day. We had a great journey on the train great Hotels and met some wonderful people.

Good to get home and sleep in our own bed.  We really enjoyed this trip across Canada.  Good to a lot of sights that we’ve seen along time ago but now seeing them thru a different stage in our life. When you drive across Canada you miss a lot.  When someone else takes you you see the sights more sights along the way. Anyway it was a fantastic journey glad we did it.

August 30 2023 ~ B.C. Ferry to Vancouver Island to Victoria & Butchart Garden

This morning we have another early start to get to Vancouver Island.  After our breakfast at the hotel we boarded a charter bus 🚍 to Vancouver Island.  We boarded a ferry at Tsawwassen Ferry. Our ferry reservation was a 8:00. The ferry ride was an hour and 40 minutes.  We first toured Bouchard Gardens that were just amazing. Then we continued on to Victoria which is capitol of BC with a British accent and a bit of old English charm.  But first before Victoria we got to go see Butchart Gardens with its amazing displays of beautiful flowers even at this time of year when everything is dying back.  πŸŒΉπŸŒΊπŸŒΈπŸŒΌπŸŒ»

August 29 2023 ~ Vancouver Sightseeing Grouse Mountain and Capilano Suspension Bridge

Well  after a wonderful buffet breakfast we were waiting to board our tour bus and head for North Shore to Capilano Suspension Bridge.  Bob did good but I just couldn’t cross it.  Then it was off to Grouse Mountain for the 8 min ride up.  The weather didn’t cooperate at all. Not complaining because they need all the rain they can get.  It is very dry our here.  Today it is pouring out
