We now have a new route and a larger ship. HAL pulls through. 

2018 Our Viking Cruise

So ok we have our itinerary and we know what cities we are scheduled to visit now we need to do research on each port we visit.  

2018 Somethings are happening Changes are going on

Still haven’t heard yet from our TA but I have left a message to see where we go from there.  So if your reading this I am doing a little test and changing things up a little.  Just not sure if it works or not until I post something with the change and it goes out to all of you.  Be patient with me please it’s a learning process.

2018 ms Prinsendam has been sold. What is going on?

Holland America Line announced that Prinsendam has been sold and will leave its fleet July 1, 2019 and transfer to the German cruise company Phoenix Reisen. Following the sale, the 37,983-ton, 835-guest Prinsendam is being chartered back to Holland America Line to continue sailing its planned voyages through July 1, 2019, the company said, in a statement. 

Prinsendam’s itineraries from July 1, 2019, onward are scheduled to be assimilated by Rotterdam, Volendam and Veendam. Holland America Line is reaching out to booked guests and their travel professionals to re-accommodate guests on these cruises.  

So now we have to find some other itinerary that we both like.  Plans are always changing to just have to go with the flow.  I am sure there are people that are panicking over this, not us just another adventure until I hear from our agent and she gives us some options.    Stay tuned....

Connecting to this cruise Aug 4-18 Amsterdam-Amsterdam 14 days

Then finishing with this River Cruise Aug 18-01Sept Amsterdam-Budapest  15 nights

2018. Here we go again...

 So where are we going you ask?  We decided that we should see Russia and the Baltic's and maybe hook up a River Cruise down the Rhine, Main and the Danube. So right now we are in the planning mode doing a lot of research.  We have settled on  2 Holland American Cruises linked together that does a 34 day Kiel Canal, Spitsbergen, & the Icelandic Fjords, and a 14 day Scottish Highlands Explorer, then to end it up with a 15 night European Tour down the Rivers.  This will happen next summer and take up a lot of our summer.  You have to travel to the Baltic's and Russia in the summer because well we just don't want to be cold and miserable.

For the Holland American 2 cruises we will travel on the smallest ship that they own.  MS Prinsendam capacity of 835 guests, we have traveled to the Mediterranean on her.  She is Intimate, comfortably spacious and small  enough to explore destinations larger ships cant reach.  She is really a elegant ship.  Both will leave out of Amsterdam Netherlands and we will keep our same cabin on both itineraries.  We are 5 star Mariners now and will get some free perks and Free laundry (very important perk) along with 50% discount on Wine....

For our River cruise we choose Viking River Cruises because they gave us a discount for traveling with them way back in 2010 and well we liked her itineray and stops along the way. We will have all our clothes cleaned and pressed courtesy of HAL when we board this longship named Magni.
